Description:Sensis is a minority-owned, independent full-service advertising agency based in Los Angeles with an office in Washington, DC. Sensis provides digital-centric advertising solutions aligned with the realities of consumer behavior, media consumption and technology today. As consumers are leaving TV, radio and print, Sensis uses digital communications to engage hard-to-reach and mass-market audiences.

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is responsible for collaborating with and supporting the sales team to scout sales leads, develop and prospect them into qualified opportunities, and work with senior staff to deliver innovative and superior Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) responses and follow-up as necessary to win new business. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, hungry candidate wanting to break into the face paced digital-driven advertising industry to learn the business.  The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment. This will be a tremendous learning experience in gaining familiarity with a creative agency including the media planning/buying process, Web/technology development, creative concepting and government contracting. 

The BDC will work closely with our department leads and CEO to identify and independently follow through on prospective client targets and opportunities that are consistent with the agency’s core competencies and interests.

This role reports to our CEO and Director of Business Development, and offers an opportunity to grow within a fast paced and relaxed environment.  This position will be based out of our Los Angeles headquarters office, and may involve interfacing with our Washington, DC office as well.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Utilize our vast network of inbound referrals to filter through opportunities.

·         Explore cold and warm leads through our internal databases along with other resources.

·         Attend networking events and begin developing relationships with potential clients.

·         Create, update and maintain sales collateral.

·         Maximize Sensis’ presence within Diversity Supplier databases in both government and private sectors

·         Assist senior staff in moving potential clients through our sales pipeline process

 

Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must have:

·         Bachelor's degree.

·         EXCELLENT writing skills

·         Computer-savvy with Strong Excel and MS Office skills.

·         Strong communication and presentation skills.

·         Able to handle multiple priorities.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Professional, tenacious and uncompromising

·         Confident, polished, positive, upbeat and self-motivated.

 

Additional Desired Skills:

·         Knowledge of digital advertising and social media platforms

·         Familiarity with the Web development process

·         Interest in emerging technology and social media

·         Background in sales, media or advertising

·         Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
