Inhouse Litigation Specialist
Earn $35,000 plus commission
For close to a decade, The MONEXgroup has been providing competitive financial services and payment processing solutions to Canadian businesses. Now, our Collections Department is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated and driven, Licensed Paralegal to join our team.
We offer:
• $35,000 base pay or determined by experience, plus commissions and bonuses

Your Responsibilities will include:
• Communicate with debtors to mitigate damages, via phone, letter and email
• Prepare, draft and issue claims
• Collection from debtors
• Attending Small Claims Court
• Interviewing clients, witnesses and other related parties, assembling documentary evidence, preparing trial briefs, and arranging for trials
• Research records, court files and other legal documents
• Draft legal correspondence and perform general office and clerical duties
• Prepare legal documents, including court reports and affidavits
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years of litigation experience
• Licensed with the Law Society of Upper Canada and in good standing
• Litigation/trial experience a must (small claims court)
• Able to work with minimal supervision and a great deal of autonomy
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules
• A desire to succeed in a competitive environment
• Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Team Player
• Working knowledge of the following software and application, Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet
