AKT Retirement Plan Services (AKT RPS) is a professional third-party administration and record keeping firm. Our office locations include Escondido, California and Lake Oswego, Oregon. We are affiliated through common ownership with AKT Wealth Advisors LP and AKT LLP. AKT RPS provides a full range of services to corporate retirement plans. Our professional services encompass plan design, plan administration, trust accounting, daily valuation recordkeeping, fiduciary consulting, and other various types of consulting. We provide these services to over 250 clients across all industries, both for profit and nonprofit, located in the Western United States and Alaska. We serve clients with up to 10,000 employees. Our clients’ plans cover a wide range of qualified defined contribution plan types, including hybrid or cross-tested plans.

General Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of defined benefit liabilities for funding valuations and PBGC filings.

Review and certification of Form 5500 Schedule SB and MB, and related attachments.

Preparation of defined benefit liabilities and disclosures under FASB 87, 132R and 158.

Preparation and review of nondiscrimination testing for defined benefit and cross-tested defined benefit/defined contribution plans.

Guide a client through the termination process, including preparation of all necessary forms.

Serve as an in-house resource on technical issues for Partners and staff.

Maintain Actuarial Certification through continuing education.
Specific Desired Qualifications

EA designation is required.

Experience with defined benefit plan design and administration, including general tested defined benefit plans and Cash Balance plans.

Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.

Strong communication skills.

Knowledge of ASC software is preferred.
