Position Overview
 
Develop employee education materials and conduct retirement plan meetings to encourage eligible participants to enroll in their company retirement plans and to educate them on the benefits of increasing their contribution rate, revising their investment portfolio, and preparing for their retirement needs.
 
Responsibilities
  • Address individual employee questions through one-on-one interactions after employee education meetings.
  • Conduct regular employee education meetings with retirement plan participants.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with participants to review financial situation and provide recommendations.
  • Develop employee education curriculum.
  • Meet with plan trustees to discuss employee education.  Depending on experience, could conduct trustee meetings to review plan performance.
  • Engage in dialogue that guides participants in making informed investment decisions and educate them regarding the advantages of participation in a company sponsored retirement plan.
  • Identify and solve problems, perform initial research and follow-up with individual participant related issues, as needed.
  • Respond to participant questions via telephone and email.
Qualifications
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex information to a diverse audience.
  • Experience working with people in a services environment.
  • Ability to develop education curriculum and materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of retirement plans and general investment principals preferred.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
